Inblade’s 10 Core Principles

1. Unity

To keep members united and streamline communication, logistics, etc., so that we can ensure regular tournaments.

2. Controlled Rulesets

Have our own ranking system and format rules to expand upon what WBO does.

3. Promoting Additional Formats

Unlike WBO, we’ll allow additional formats to expand the hobby, including an illegal-customizations-only format, a repro format, a midfake format, a full-metal format, and so on, in addition to the normal formats. There will also be various formats based on weight ranges, like weight classes (Under-50g, for example), to introduce an element of severe limitation to see what type of innovation bladers can come up with when making competitive combos.

The Additional Formats will not be a part of the main ranked system of Inblade, and will not update a blader’s Blader Rank. Instead, these will have their own ranking system, which will determine the most creative bladers among us. The championship for Additional Formats will take place separately during the annual National Inblade Championship.

4. The Blader Rank (BR)

Inblade will have well-crafted and fair rules and a point system that closely mimics the official guidelines and anime lore. Each participant of Inblade tournaments will be assigned a Blader Rank (how good you are competitively). The Blader Rank will be adjusted based on how many tournaments you participate in (losses will deduct rating).

Someone with 10 participations but 3 wins only will be ranked lower than someone with 2 participations and 2 wins. We will maintain a novel system of adjusting the BR of a blader based on appearances vs. win/loss ratio.

5. The Championship

Blader Rankings across all Inblade tournaments will be compiled, and there will be a Championship (with sponsored travel for all top Bladers). The Championship will be limited to a few formats only.

With scattered WBO rankings or with an arrangement where there’s no unified ranking, a Championship cannot be possible. The National Inblade Championship will determine who’s the best … for that year. This person will be crowned the Champion with a trophy.

Apart from the regular annual Champion, there will also be a Limited Champion — the blader with the highest points across the Additional Formats.

Each Championship event will have a bonus, unranked battle between the highest-scoring combos of the Champion and the Limited Champion that they used throughout the year.

6. Aiding the Community

The Beyblade community in India requires help across the spectrum. From something simple like identifying fakes or doing price checks to the complexities of importing and guidance for competitive Beyblade customizations.

With no central system in place, those who have contacts have it much easier than someone who’s new to the hobby. This is the #1 reason why there’s a barrier to entry.

More experienced members of the Beyblade community don’t fully understand the problems of today’s bladers or new collectors/bladers. Having Inblade as a community will allow us to dedicate a lot of time from the official members to help newcomers.

7. Advocating Official Supply

When we’re organized enough, we’ll have the backing to open a communication channel with Hasbro and Takara Tomy Asia. This will help us give them more concrete data, based on which they can plan official releases here with or without our support. Regardless of their other channels, Inblade will always be open to sharing with and aiding these companies to encourage the hobby of Beyblading in India.

8. Neutrality & Focus

We’ll avoid saturating our management with two types of harmful things: Kids throwing tantrums and big people politics. Our focus will be on Beyblade as a hobby first. This will be our mantra: “It’s a hobby first.” Our second focus will be getting more people into competitive Beyblade (not additional formats — they are just decorative).

9. Bringing Talent Together

From creative artists and competitive bladers to seasoned Beyblade experts, content creators, innovators, and collectors — our community is huge. We will always find new ways to bring talent together so everyone gets a taste of what different people are achieving and learn how they’re helping the hobby.

As we expand, our venues will open more spots where other talented individuals, not just competitive bladers, can showcase their creations, abilities, skills, and inventory.

10. Non-Profit

Inblade will be a non-profit organization. Anyone who also sells on the side will not bring their business aspect into the running of this organization.

For example, Person X can be a part of Inblade officially and also register as a Beyblade reseller for a stall placement in one of our tournaments, but Person X will not be using Inblade’s resources or platform to further their own goals.

Inblade itself promises to have a transparent record of all money-in and money-out as public information. It further promises to utilize the funds only for the further development of Beyblade as a hobby in India.
